I decided though I have basic commission pricing information as part of my main page, I should have a journal too, which goes into further detail and offers examples.

First of all I'd like to say, while I'm trying to get faster at getting commissions done, I am by no means speedy. I take my time in making sure you get the best product I can manage. I like to be proud of my work, even if it seems like it's something small.
I ALWAYS send the customer a sketch for approval, that way if you don't like the pose or something like that, it can easily be changed early on without me having to start over. Especially in the case of traditional media. Those supplies aren't cheap!

Secondly, I do both digital and traditional art. Traditional is my favorite and I can do it faster than I can do digital. I'm still learning as far as digital goes, and I am getting faster at it. It seems like a lot of people prefer digital too. With traditional pieces, I mail those to you. I don't want to sell something someone already payed for (especially if it's of a personal character) just to get it out of the house and I really don't like throwing finished pieces away! Especially colored pieces! So, if you don't want to give out your address, let me suggest getting something digital instead.

The prices below are for traditional pieces that are 9 inches by 11 inches or digital pieces. Please note that in the case of traditional media, if you want something bigger than 9 x 11, it's going to take more time and cost more.

Prices may change over time, either because of a sale or an increase in price due to me feeling like my skills are better or I'm in higher demand. I am willing to work with people on price if they are few dollars short! Just don't expect some kind of epic illustration with explosions and 10 characters for $20.

Sketches- These can be either traditional in graphite pencil or digital. If you want a traditional sketch in charcoal or something, I'm fine with that, but I will likely charge more for it due to it being harder to work with.

Busts (this means to the chest, or about half way down the torso)- $5 (additional characters $3 per)…

Fullbody (from the head, to the feet)- $8 (additional characters $5 per)……

Lineart- These are cleaner than sketches. You may be interested in these if you don't want color, but want something nicer than a sketch, or are interested in having something drawn by one person, and colored by another. Cross hatching can be added for shading for more, depending on how much and how detailed the drawing already is.
Unfortunately, I do not have many examples of lineart up at this time! D:

Busts- $10 (additional characters $8 per)

Fullbody- $15 (addtional characters $10 per)…

Color- Color takes the longest of all, and can range from the simplest single character, to the most detailed of illustrations. These prices are of course for the former and don't include a background outside of, say, a flat color.

Busts- $15 (additional characters $12 per)……

Fullbody- $20 (additional characters $16 per)
Not all of these examples are quite fullbodies. But you get the idea.………

Adding Backgrounds- A background can be simple and easy to to do, or quite complicated. They can take a lot of time, so of course they cost extra. How much they cost though will depend on how much is there. For example, if you just wanted a tree and some grass, the sky, or maybe just one simple building, it'll be the base price. If you want a whole forest, city scape, or coral reef, well, that's going to cost you a bit more. Never be afraid to ask how much something might be!

Sketch- $5 and up
Lineart- $8 and up
Color- $10 and up

Here you can find the things most people offer, refs, badges, those kinds of things. Sometimes though I feel adventurous so I might offer dolls, sculptures, or jewelry. You never know!

Color Chibis- $5- For a limited time, get a color chibi of your character for super cheap! Just 14 slots left folks!……

Portrait Badge- $15- A really basic bust badge! Can be traditional or digital. Always laminated with a clip attached and shipped to you!………

Reference Sheets- $35- My basic ref sheets include front and back views, as well as two face details, and one or two accessories/markings/whatever you want to call attention to. Clothed and nude are both fine. More detailed characters will cost more. These are flat colored digitally, unless you request otherwise.
Additional views- $10
Additional faces- $5

Happy commissioning! :3
